Buddy Hield Miami Heat Trade Rumors

Folks, several online outlets are reporting a possible Buddy Hield Miami Heat Trade.  The Miami Heat and The New Orleans Pelicans have been discussed frequently in the rumor mill but there is a current rumor that points to a deal between the Heat and the Pelicans.

A recent article on Fansided discusses the possibility of Heat center Hassan Whiteside teaming up with Anthony Davis in New Orleans.  This could be huge for the Pelicans, creating one of the most dominant center/forward tandems in the league.  Whiteside is presently being shopped around by Heat President, Pat Riley and is considered a gem averaging over 18 points per game while dominating on the boards with over 15 rebounds per game.

The trade proposal has Miami sending Whiteside and shooting guard Dion Waiters to the Pelicans in exchange for newly drafted rookie shooting guard Buddy Hield, center Omer Asik, power forward Terrence Jones and a future first-round draft pick from the Pelicans in 2017.  This deal could happen as soon as December 15 according to some of the player contracts involved in the potential trade including Whiteside, Waiters and Jones.

The Miami Heat are pretty desperate to rebuild after losing Dwyane Wade to the Chicago Bulls.  With the crowded backcourt in New Orleans, would this be an opportunity for Buddy Hield to get in the starting lineup and have a bigger role in that team’s offense ?  Leaving the Pelicans for the Miami Heat would definitely put him within reach of his hometown, Eight Mile Rock Grand Bahama.  We would love to hear your feedback, leave your facebook comments below or directly on our facebook page to tell us what you think about a potential Buddy Hield Miami Heat Trade.
