Buddy Hield Milwaukee Bucks Highlights Game Two

Buddy Hield Milwaukee Bucks Highlights shows the growth of this young New Orleans Pelicans team. Head Coach Alvin Gentry made a lineup change immediately produced results with increased offensive production with a more active lineup. Instead of the normal lineup with current starters Omer Asik (Center) and Solomon Hill (Forward), Gentry went to a smaller lineup with Terrence Jones and Dante Cunningham as replacements. Asik and Hill are both new additions with sizeable contracts to the Pelicans but have not been performing effectively. Hill was added on a 4 year $52 Million dollar contract while Asik has a 5 year $58 MIllion Dollar contract with over 40 Million dollars in guaranteed money. These recent moves by the Pelicans front office did not sit well with fans and from the early looks of things, could prove problematic for top brass in the Pelicans organization.  Alvin Gentry when asked if Pelicans’ first win brought a sense of relief: “Hell yeah!”  We understand his relief as the 0-8 start for the Pelicans was tied for the worst start in franchise history.

The adjustments were instant with the Pelicans being uptempo throughout the game. Despite The Bucks shooting 50% from the floor, the Pelicans managed to force 8 turnovers to take a 61-54 lead at half. It didn’t end there, the Pelicans established a 15 point lead in the 3rd quarter and controlled the game the rest of the way. The Bucks fought back in the 4th quarter hell bent on making the game a close one. It went down to the final 3 seconds and just like that…the Pelicans had their first win of the season with a 112-106 victory in Milwaukee. Anthony Davis finished with 32 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 4 blocks while E’Twaun Moore added 20 points for New Orleans while Jabari Parker scored a season-high 33 points for Milwaukee. The ‘Greek Freak’ Giannis Antetokounmpo had 17 points, 10 rebounds and one assist in 35 minutes.

Moore, the starting shooting guard ahead of Buddy Hield, played very well tonight and got extended time ahead of Buddy. But that didn’t stop Hield from maximizing on his opportunities. Hield was solid in his role off the bench scoring 9 points while collecting 4 rebounds in only 16 minutes of action. We are seeing a foundation for Buddy to get an increased role in the offense within the next few games. He is increasingly consistent on the offensive side of the ball, showing his range and ability to shoot while improving defensively.
