After a 116-100 defeat of the Denver Nuggets earlier on February 23rd, one would easily think that the Sacramento Kings should have their way once again but it would be a completely different story in Mile–High City. That game would also be the first for Buddy Hield after the blockbuster trade for Demarcus Cousins between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Sacramento Kings which Buddy would go on to score 16 points in his opener. In this rematch, the Buddy Hield Denver Nuggets Highlights would be just as good as his Kings Opener as Buddy came out shooting early and finished with 14 points, 3 rebounds and a steal. Hield connected on 2 of 2 (100%) from three-point range and shot 4 of 7 (57.1%) from the field as well as 4 of 5 (80%) from the free throw line in just 23 minutes of play.
Despite not having starting center Nikola Jokic who was sidelined with an illness and replaced by Mason Plumlee in the lineup who played well with 10 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block. The Nuggets played brilliant basketball led by Wilson Chandler who shot lights out from start to end and finished with a career-high 36 points to go along with 12 rebounds. Denver built a double-digit lead from midway through the second quarter and never looked back, leading by as many as 21 points into the fourth quarter.

The Kings would attempt to make a comeback late into the fourth quarter but never got closer than 8 points and lost 108-96 to make five consecutive losses in a row. The Kings had seven players in double figures and were led by Darren Collison with 17 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists while Buddy was tied with starting Kings center Kosta Koufos as the team’s second leading scorer. Koufos finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and a blocked shot.
Key Statistics: The Kings bench outscored the Nuggets 40-23. Rebounds were basically even with the Nuggets winning that battle 41-40. Buddy Hield once again needs to be careful with ball protection as he committed 4 turnovers but did not limit any Buddy Hield Denver Nuggets Highlights. The Nuggets shot 37 of 75 (49.3%) from the field and 13 of 30 (43.3%) from three-point range while the Kings shot 36 of 83 (43.4%) from the field and 6 of 16 (37.5%) from three-point range. Up next, the Kings travel to play the San Antonio Spurs tomorrow night at 8:30pm.
